Single Molecule Science at UNSW is seeking talented and motivated PhD students–nationally and internationally–to be part of the EMBL Australia International PhD Program.

The EMBL International PhD programme–considered one of the most competitive schemes of its kind–has been running for decades in Europe. And this is the first year that EMBL Australia is offering scholarships for science graduates who want to study at Single Molecule Science at UNSW in Australia. For candidates who show exceptional potential, five fully funded PhD scholarships are available to provide an outstanding platform to launch a successful research career –to feed a passion for science and discovery. 

EMBL Australia scholars will have access to new imaging and analysis technologies–being developed at the EMBL Australia node in Single Molecule Science at UNSW–including unique microscopy capabilities in super-resolution and single molecule imaging. This is an opportunity to be part of interdisciplinary research and gain a molecular perspective on complex biological systems and processes, encompassing biophysics, biochemistry and cell biology as well as nanotechnology and nanofabrication.
