Jonathan Berengut, of the Lee lab, won first prize at the UNSW Three Minute Thesis Finals, as well as the People’s Choice Award and the ASPIRE Prize.

The Three Minute Thesis competition challenges students to explain their thesis project in a language that is accessible to a general audience. Jonathan was able to distill the complexities of nanotechnology to deliver an engaging account of his research that was easy to understand.

To the judges, he was the "clear winner" at the competition held on Monday 17 September where students from different UNSW faculties, including Business, Science, Engineering, Medicine, aand Art & Design, competed.
