We are delighted to announce the first meeting of the Single Molecule Discussion Club!

The idea behind the club is to connect researchers in the region with an interest in single molecule approaches to biology. All are welcome, whether you are in this space already or want to find out about recent developments and how they might apply to your research. The meetings will be held several times a year at alternating locations.

The first meeting:
27 November 2015
1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Level 4 seminar space
Lowy Cancer Research Centre Building
corner of High Street and Botany Street, Randwick
UNSW

Attendance is free. Food and drinks available afterwards

Speakers:
Ian Grainge (U Newcastle) - Replication fork collapse and processing in Escherichia coli
Lisanne Spenkelink (UoW) - Single-molecule fluorescence studies of the E. coli DNA-replication machinery
Sophie Pageon (UNSW) - Nanoscale clustering of the T cell receptor regulates T cell signalling efficiency
James Walsh (UNSW) - Control of prokaryotic cell division by Turing patterns
