Dr Liz Hinde, from the Gaus lab, has been named one of the Dean’s Rising Stars. And Eunice Tan—Research Support Officer—receives the Dean's Award for Professional and Technical Staff. For Professional and Technical staff, the Dean’s Award is the highest award made by the Faculty to individuals who have made outstanding contributions.

The Rising Star Award—which SMS group leader, Jérémie Rossy received in 2014 —is in recognition of outstanding achievements in research by postdoctoral researcher staff.

“Liz is a pioneer using advanced biophysical imaging techniques," says SMS group leader, Till Böcking, "her work has implications for cancer biology and drug delivery.”

Dean's Awards recognise outstanding achievements and contributions to different fields and career stages, from honours students to academic staff. Dean of Medicine—Professor Rodney Phillips—presented Liz and Eunice with their awards at UNSW Medicine’s annual awards ceremony held on 18 November, 2015.

Congratulations to Liz and Eunice on well deserved recognition.
